We have both been intensively involved in the administration, organizing, assisting and piloting/escorting of English Channel swims, and other types of Channel crossings, for the past 25 years. I have personally piloted over 450 crossings in that time, our son, Lance, has piloted over 250 crossings.

My swims records show a 76% success rate. --Lances swim records show a 78% success rate.

At the moment I am the Hon. Sec. and Angela the Assistant Hon. Sec of the CS&PF (Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation).

To help with the site information we have enrolled the assistance of our large circle of friends and associates to give their advice and pass on their experience. --

Have you seen www.channelswimming.net the official Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation site? This site is also maintained by us and has a lot of information on it including all the CS&PF successful solo and relay results to date and information in the "Standard letter" (link on the home page) on how to go about setting up a Channel Swim. This

There is a very active "Swimmers Chat site" that is free to anyone interested in open water swimming. If you are interested in making contact with other swimmers send us your e-mail address that you would like to choose for membership and ask us to send you an invitation to join.

Pressing the link buttons on the left will take you to the other site pages.
This site is expanding fast and we are still building it - all the pages are not active at the moment but they have been added to set up future links and to show the way we are thinking. Some pages (like the swimlists of the successful Channel solo & relay swims to date), will take a bit of time to load depending on the computer and modem you are running. If you are experiancing any problems with the site or have any suggestions for it please let us know.
